Hoosier Tire Midwest Indy lost a devoted employee and Kamp Motor Speedway as well as Bob and I lost a long time friend last night. Dallas Montgomery died sometime last night or early this morning in his home. Dallas has been a friend for a long time especially in our drag racing days and he has been a supporter of Kamp Motor Speedway since our opening. He has been the one to send door prizes for the banquets each and every year we have been open. Dallas will be greatly missed by all of us at Kamp Motor Speedway, Bob and myself and of course by Hoosier Tire Midwest Indy.
Dallas was also operating the Terre Haute Drag Strip.
The only information I have at this time as far as arrangements is that it will be in Terre Haute, Indiana.
