This weeks 50/50 drawing worth $264 was won by Jed Rayls of Hoopeston, Illinois. Jed was holding winning ticket number 241049. Congratulations on Jed on your KMS win.

This weeks “Kids Trophy” drawing was won by Morgan Pruitt 12 of Elmhurst, Illinois. Morgan chose to receive her trophy with Late Model feature winner #0 Richie Hedrick. Congratulations to both Morgan and Richie on their KMS wins.

The “Kamp Lucky 5″ drawing worth $100 was won by June Johnson of Otterbein, Indiana. June was holding ticket stub number 004177 drawn out by Late Model feature winner #0 Richie Hedrick. Congratulations to both June and Richie on their KMS wins.

An accident involving the water truck caused the death of Charleston Speedway’s promoter on Saturday evening. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the drivers, fans and family of Charleston Speedway promoter Lance Cobble on their loss.

Kamp Motor Speedway Racing a Full Program Saturday August 30th

Kamp Motor Speedway will be racing a full program of UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Sportsman, and UMP Street Stocks on Saturday, August 30th.  The UMP Modified Wolfpack Series will be in attendance, paying $1000 to win for the Modifieds.  Pit gates open at 3:00, and grandstands open at 5:00.  All times are EDT.

There was no winner for the “Kamp Lucky 5″ drawing. The pot will be worth $200 for this coming weeks drawing.

I want to congratulate Late Model driver #14 Kerry Mathew on his win Friday night at Hartford Speedway in Michigan.

I also want to congratulate Street Stock driver #8 David Hurst on his feature win at Gas City.

I want to thank Street Stock driver #2 Brandon Roundtree for attending the girl scout meeting on Thursday evening here in Lafayette. Brandon brought all of his safety equipment and talked with the girls and explained what all the equipment was for. Thanks Brandon I appreciate your going with me. Crate Late Models at Kamp Motor Speedway August 16th

The Crate Late Models have been added to the program at Kamp Motor Speedway on Saturday August 16th. We will also have our regular program of UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Street Stocks and the UMP Sportsman Special (based on a full field of cars).

With the Crates comes 12 year old driving sensation Tyler Allen. Lafayette up and coming driver Justin Sondgeroth will be there too to make his Kamp debut. You won’t want to miss Saturday August 16th with two classes of Late Models in the house. There will be a meet and greet with the crate drivers also. Make sure you get these guys autographs so when they are bigger stars you can say I met them.

I’m a committee member of this group. I was wondering if you could post this on your web site or announce this at the track for us this weekend. We hold a one day event for these special people on August 17( Sun) at Jasper County Fairgrounds in Rensselear, IN. It is held from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
(cst). Anyone is welcome to come and help out for the day. The special people to enjoy a day made just for them ( each get a t-shirt to commemorate the day).
