A big congratulations to Frank Heckenast Jr on a second place finish in the Summer Nationals at Fairbury and also to Jason Feger on a second place finish at Paducah on the 26th and a SN win at Tri-City. Great Job guys.

This weeks “Kids Trophy ” drawing was won by Emma Ransom of Williamsport, IN. Emma chose to accept her trophy with the Modified winner Derek Losh. Congratulations to both Emma and Derek on your KMS wins.

The Modified drivers passed the helmets through the stands at intermission to help raise funds to offset funeral expenses for the family of Ryan King. Thanks to a very generous donation from one race team of $1000 and the very generous fans, crews and drivers they collected $2000 for the King family. Ryan King 28 (#98 Modified driver) died last week from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in the Kankakee, IL area.  The Modifieds put on a very special tribute to Ryan in the form of black ribbons and a missing man formation in the parade lap before their feature. It was very touching. I also would like to thank the #36 Modified team of Jamie Lomax and crew for heading up the helmet team to pass through the stands and pits. Ryan will be sadly missed by family, friends and fellow racers.

Kamp Motor Speedway will be hosting the UMP Late Model summer Nationals on Saturday June 13th with a Late Model feature win payout of $10,000. We will also be having a $1000 to win UMP Modified race plus the UMP Street Stocks will be in the house.

Pit gates open at 3:00, grandstands open at 5:00, hotlaps at 6:00, qualifying at 6:15 and racing at 7:00 (all times are approximate and EDT).

Grandstands are $20, kids 11-15 is $10 and kids 10 and under are free with a paying adult.
Pits are $35, kids 10 and under are $15 and kids 3 and under are free.

Camping is allowed in the grassy area by the parking lot and by the creek area. There is no charge for camping and all camping is primitive. Please take your trash with you or put in receptacles on the outside of the gates.

We will allow fans to put blankets down until 4:00. We will then clear the grandstand  until time to open.

No coolers or outside food or drink is allowed.

Congratulations to newly crowned KMS Princess Maddie Hall age 5. Maddie raised over $200 for the March of Dimes. She is a beautiful princess in her tiara.

Congratulations to our very young newly crowned KMS Prince Tristan Milliken age 4 months. Tristan raised close to $200 for March of Dimes. He looked quite handsome in his crown.

The 50/50 drawing worth $134 was won by Andrea Krick of  Earl Park, Indiana.  andrea was holding winning number 653544. Congratulations Andrea on your KMS win.

What a great night for Dick Potts and a big thanks to Ted Knorr who traveled to KMS to interview Dick on his special night.

This Saturday is Dick Potts Night at the speedway. This is to honor our Hall of Fame driver Dick Potts. If you enter the grandstands wearing a Dick Potts t-shirt, sweatshirt, hat or jacket you will receive a $2.00 discount in the grandstands.
Dick Potts Auto Parts will also be adding an extra $500 to the Street Stock feature win pay making it $800 to win for the feature winner.
We will also be crowning our KMS Little Prince and Princess on Saturday night at intermission. You will have until consi time to place your votes at the front entrance. It takes a quarter for each vote and all proceeds will be presented to the local March of Dimes.
We are also trying to work with other tracks and if you attend Bloomington Speedway (IN) on Friday night we will give a $2.00 grandstand discount when you present your Bloomington Speedway ticket stub. To get a pit discount (with your Bloomington Speedway stub) you must first purchase a grandstand ticket with the discount and trade it in with the difference at the pit office.
