This Saturday November 8th is the 6th annual Kamp Motor Speedway Awards Banquet. Cocktails are from 5:30 to 6:00, dinner 6:00 to 7:00 and awards to follow, followed by entertainment with DJ “Kimmie C”.

The banquet is at the University Plaza Hotel at 3001 Northwestern Avenue in West Lafayette, Indiana 47906. just off of US 52 west behind the Applebees and across from Wal-Mart.

Don’t forget we are in the Eastern Daylight Savings Time zone. See you on Saturday.

We have quite a few who have not purchased banquet tickets, remember to receive point money you must attend. The deadline for tickets is Saturday November 1, 2008. There will be no tickets purchased or held at the door. A head count for dinners has to be turned in by 3rd.

The Kamp Motor Speedway awards banquet will be held on Saturday November 8th at University Plaza Hotel in West Lafayette, Indiana. The address for the hotel is 3001 Northwestern Avenue, West Lafayette, Indiana 47906. The phone number is 765-463-5511, for room reservations be sure to mention you are with the Kamp Motor Speedway banquet. West Lafayette as well as Lafayette are non smoking cities however smoking is allowed outside of the premises.

Tickets for the banquet are on sale at K-Motion Racing in Lafayette, Indiana and can be purchased by calling Gayle weekdays at 765-742-8494 or 765-532-1621 after hours. Tickets are $35 per person. If you are a top 10 driver remember to be eligible for point money you must attend the banquet. To find out if you are a top 10 driver you can check your class under the points link of this website.

Please have your ticket purchased by November 1st, a head count must be turned in to the hotel on the first. There will be no tickets sold or held at the door, unless they have been paid for before the November 1st deadline (I have been burnt to many times).

I would like to congratulate #14 Late Model driver Kerry Mathew and his wife on the birth of their daughter. Courtney Nicole Mathew arrived on Friday September 26th weighing in at 7 lbs 10 oz and was 20 inches long. Courtney is welcomed home by big brother Corbin. Congratulations to the whole Mathew’s family on her arrival.

Kamp Motor Speedway will be having its annual Fall Classic on Saturday, September 27^th. All regular classes will be having a bigger purse. The UMP Late Models will be a NALMS race, paying $2000 to win. The UMP Modifieds will be racing for $1000 to win. The UMP Sportsman will be racing for $800 to win. Thanks to the many sponsors, the UMP Street Stocks will be having a $1000 to win, 100 lap Street Stock Shootout. The Modified Lites will also be in attendance. All payouts are based on a 20 car starting field. UMP National points will also be awarded at Kamp Motor Speedway on Saturday..

*Note: This is the last race of the 2008-racing season for Kamp Motor Speedway.

Kamp Motor Speedway will be having the 6th annual UMP Late Model Kamp 50 for $5000 to win $250 to start Saturday, September 20th . The UMP Modifieds, UMP Sportsman, and UMP Street Stocks will also be in attendance. Plus a Mechanics Race. Pit gates open at 3:00, and grandstands open at 5:00. All times are EDT.

*Note –This is the final points night for track points at Kamp Motor Speedway

Because of extreme wet conditions and more rain forecasted for this afternoon and evening, we have cancelled the scheduled racing for tonight September 13th at Kamp Motor Speedway. The Kamp 50 will be ran next Saturday September 20th. Our other classes of UMP Modified, UMP Sportsman and the UMP Street Stock will also be racing on September 20th.
